    FAQ

    Frequently asked questions

Nothing. Taking part, food and drinks are free, and there is no minimum spend.

No. Poker Night is a free tournament with no stakes: everyone starts with the same number of chips, the chips have no cash value, and there is neither a buy-in nor re-buys. We do not play for money at our evenings, not even after the tournament.

No, with one exception. We explain poker, Catan, Risk, Dune: Imperium and Gwent at the table, and beginners are explicitly welcome. For Magic: The Gathering we play Commander, so you need to know the basics and bring your own Commander deck.

At Table Nights, yes: you can simply have a drink, watch and join the conversation. Poker Night is a tournament with 12 seats for players; if you would like to watch it, just ask us beforehand.

Anyone aged 18 or over. You do not have to be a Theia client, and there is no sales pitch. We only talk about our work if you ask.

Right here on this page: pick an evening and enter your name and email. You receive an email with a confirmation link, and clicking it reserves your seat. If the evening is full, you join the waiting list and move up automatically as soon as someone cancels.

In our office at Wasserwerkstrasse 2, 8006 Zurich, level −1.

Sometimes we take group photos for our website and LinkedIn. If you would rather not be in them, just tell us on the night and we will not publish photos in which you can be recognised. We only publish individual portraits with your consent.

We do not use an event platform: we store your name, your email address and your favourite game in our own registration database, hosted in the EU. We use them only to organise the evenings and delete them 12 months after the evening. We only tell you about new dates if you tick the box when registering. The details are in our privacy policy.
