Dynamics 365 vs. Salesforce: Comparison for Swiss B2B (2026)

Honest comparison between Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Salesforce for Swiss B2B. Strengths, weaknesses, cost, AI — with a clear recommendation after 4 questions.

Salesforce is the CRM market leader, Dynamics 365 the Microsoft alternative. Both are technically on par — the right choice doesn't come from a feature list, it comes from your existing stack, your team, and your time horizon.

Full disclosure: Theia Solutions is a Microsoft partner. We build on Dynamics — but this comparison exists so you can decide, not so we can sell. If Salesforce is the better fit, we'll say so.

    Side by side

    Two solid systems. Different fits.

    Microsoft
    Microsoft Dynamics 365
    Best for
Organisations with Microsoft 365 / Azure in the stack, B2B sales, field service, customer service

    • Copilot capabilities included in Sales Enterprise / Premium

    • Role-based licenses — you pay for what the person actually does
    • Swiss data residency available (Azure Switzerland North/West)
    Watch out
    • UX polish still trails Salesforce, especially in marketing modules
    • AppSource marketplace smaller than Salesforce AppExchange
    • Power Platform overhang can feel over-engineered for pure sales teams
Typical cost / user / month
CHF 40.50–157.90 by module / edition; Field Service CHF 85 (list price, excl. VAT)
    AI
Copilot native in Sales & Service; check agent and Copilot credit costs per use case

    • Custom dev in Apex (proprietary) — Swiss talent market limited
    • Swiss data residency via Hyperforce is available, but services and components need checking
Typical cost / user / month
USD 25–550 per user / month; B2B fit often starts at Enterprise USD 175+ (list price)
    AI
Agentforce / Einstein is broad; many AI capabilities sit in add-ons or Agentforce editions

    Which one fits you?

    4 questions. Clear answers.

Tick off what applies. By the end you'll know which way to lean — and whether it's time to talk.

→ Dynamics 365 becomes the clear favorite — integration is native, license bundling possible.
If Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Excel are already standard, Salesforce creates a second productivity world. That can make sense, but should be budgeted deliberately.
    Our honest take

For most Swiss B2B: Dynamics 365.

For most Swiss B2B companies we see, Dynamics 365 is the right choice — not because it's technically superior, but because it fits the stack they already run on. The second productivity world (Salesforce + M365) costs money and friction permanently.

Exceptions where we'd recommend Salesforce: when marketing automation is the primary driver and you have a separate marketing team anyway. Or when you already run a stable Salesforce ecosystem and a migration has no business case.

What we don't do: sell you Dynamics if Salesforce is the better fit. In that case we point you to a Salesforce partner — and you've still saved 30 minutes of your time.
