In many teams, a quote or contract starts in the CRM and ends in Word: copy the address, retype the line items, check the totals, save as PDF, attach it to an email. That takes time, and every copy is a chance for errors.
Dynamics 365 has Word templates built in, and they are fine for simple letters. But they are built through Word's XML mapping pane and return at most 100 related records per relationship, according to Microsoft. Grouping, signatures and automatic filing are missing.
