Power Apps Code Apps let pro developers build complete web applications in React, Vue, or Angular — and deploy them into the Power Platform as if they were Canvas or model-driven apps. The @microsoft/power-apps SDK provides access to Dataverse and every Power Platform connector, authentication runs automatically via Entra ID, and deployment goes through the pac CLI.
Theia uses Code Apps wherever Canvas limits are reached — complex UI logic, third-party libraries (React-PDF, charts, maps), or when an existing React codebase needs to be brought into the Power Platform. The Power Platform envelope stays in place: DLP, governance, license tracking, and the admin console all work the same way.

Customer 360 AI — a Code App from a client project
A React application that runs inside the Power Platform as a Power Apps Code App. It reads accounts, contacts, opportunities and the full activity history straight from Dataverse, condenses the company view into an AI summary, and turns that into meeting preparation, a print view and a PDF export. Exactly the kind of interface that gets laborious in a Canvas app — here it is ordinary frontend code, with Entra ID sign-in and governance coming from the platform.
